I am an applied social scientist trying to do useful research, at the intersection of human enterprise, social issues and natural environments. I am interested in the generative power of social science research and engaged scholarship; and how, combined, they can help us imagine and enact better futures. Playful experimentation underlies my work. In 2023, I founded Social Science Ventures where we are developing unconventional methods and tools to scale up the impact of social science research through commercialisation. In our work, we bring use-inspired / solution-oriented research and business development together and early into collaborative research projects. In the process, I founded Mind Your Business and Brightwire, two science-based organisations supporting current and future founders.
I am the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Business Venturing Insights, Venturing.Buzz and hold a visiting research position at EGADE Business School in Mexico.

Entrepreneurship; future studies, social science commercialisation, research-practice collaboration
