Profile

Andrew Lewis, Director of Professional Education, is an Associate Professor with more than a decade of experience leading and developing executive education and apprenticeship programmes. Since joining Leeds University Business School (LUBS) in 2023, Andrew has drawn on his combined background in academia and business leadership to bring a dynamic, practical, and forward‑thinking approach to his role.

Andrew began his career in the international hospitality sector as a consultant with the world-renowned Hilton Hotels. He later transitioned into the retail industry, returning to the UK to spend ten years as a senior manager with Tesco Stores UK. Building on a substantial foundation of business and management experience, Andrew moved into higher education, completing a PGCE at the University of Huddersfield, a Master’s degree in 2016, and later achieving Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy in 2021 at Manchester Metropolitan University. In 2025, he further enhanced his strategic expertise by completing The Strategy Programme at Henley Business School.

His professional and academic profile made him ideally suited to executive education, and over the following decade Andrew specialised in designing and delivering senior leadership degree programmes and Masters‑level Executive Leadership provision for clients across the public, private, and third sectors.

At LUBS, Andrew now applies this extensive experience to the development of Executive Education, with a particular focus on creating credit‑bearing and accredited executive leadership programmes tailored to the needs of senior leaders and organisations across the UK.
