Dr. Serena Pugliese is a Lecturer (i.e., Assistant Professor) in Marketing at Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds. Her research focuses on marketing strategy, with a particular emphasis on applying natural language processing (NLP) to social media and marketing analytics. Her work explores how online communication patterns influence market performance.
Dr. Pugliese’s research has been published in academic outlets, such as Psychology & Marketing. She has presented at the EMAC Annual Conference, and the ISMS Marketing Science Conference. Additionally, she has been recognized for her doctoral research, receiving the Italian Marketing Society - BNL 2023 Award for Best PhD Thesis in Marketing.
Serena holds a PhD in Business Administration and Management (Marketing Curriculum) from Bocconi University. She also earned both a MSc in Economics and Management for Arts, Culture, Media and Entertainment and Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management for Arts, Culture, and Communication from Bocconi University.
