- Thesis title: The impact of ETS on green productivity: evidence from firms in China
- Supervisors: Professor Peter Howley, Professor Effie Kesidou
Profile
I am a PhD student in the economics department of Leeds University Business School and funded by the China Scholarship Council.
Environmental and sustainability concerns have emerged as focal points of corporate governance. Committed to international emission reduction and the contradiction between energy demand and resources, numerous sectors and enterprises are exploring ways to meet the new requirements of today’s sustainable goals. My research interests focus on the impact of environmental policy, such as the Emission Trading Scheme on economics. I primarily investigate firm behaviours and analyze the specific mechanisms through which the ETS affects the economy, including potential mediation and moderation effects. Through investigating the impact of environmental regulation on emerging countries and underlying mechanisms, I seek to provide valuable insights into carbon emission strategies and the transformation towards green economies.
