Wenqi is a PhD Candidate in the Work Employment Relations Department of Leeds University Business School. Her PhD project focuses on the negative effects of workplace ostracism.

Research interests

My research focuses on workplace ostracism, with a current emphasis on examining its impact on employees’ leadership capabilities. I aim to explore the mechanisms and boundary conditions underlying this process, shedding light on how workplace exclusion can hinder individuals' ability to lead and inspire others effectively.

Through my work, I strive to uncover the broader negative consequences of workplace ostracism, contributing to a deeper understanding of this phenomenon. Ultimately, my goal is to provide actionable insights that can help organizations foster more inclusive and supportive work environments, enhancing employee well-being and organizational performance.
