Yağız has been a postgraduate researcher at Leeds University Business School since February 2024. After completing a BA in Politics and International Relations in Turkey, he pursued an MSc in Management Consulting at Leeds University Business School. During and after his studies, he gained industry experience in sales, customer experience, and market research before receiving a scholarship to support his PhD research.

His work explores how anthropomorphism and system competence influence user trust in AI recommendations, particularly in workplace decision-making. His findings contribute to the broader discussion on AI-human collaboration, offering insights into factors that encourage or hinder AI adoption in professional settings.

Research interests

Yağız's research focuses on human-AI interaction, trust in AI, and AI-assisted decision-making. He investigates how anthropomorphic AI design elements (such as hyper-realistic avatars and conversational cues) and AI accuracy shape user trust and compliance. Using experimental methods with behavioral and physiological measures, he seeks to provide objective insights into trust beyond self-reported assessments. His broader research interests include AI acceptance and avoidance behaviors, automation bias, and the role of AI in human-centric decision-making.
