Tim Marsh

Profile

In October 2022 I joined LUBS as a postgraduate researcher. As a 1+3 ESRC-funded PhD student, I successfully completed an MA in Social Research in 2021/2022. Prior to this, I worked in the trade union movement organising platform workers.

Research interests

My research interests lie in the social processes behind technological transformations in the workplace. The digital is a contested sphere of production, and I am interested in interrogating this by examining management practices and resistance to them. I aim to integrate insights from the study of Industrial Relations into Global Value Chain / Global Production Network research by centring on the role of labour in shaping value chains.
