Profile

Charles has been a postgraduate researcher at Leeds University Business School since October 2022. Upon graduating with a Master’s degree in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship at the same University, he went on to assume the role of a lecturer in the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Midlands State University, Zimbabwe. His desire to contribute to entrepreneurship development in developing economies inspired him to advance his knowledge of institutions, corruption, and entrepreneurship through pursuing a PhD. His doctoral research adopts an institutional perspective to examine how entrepreneurs utilise networks to navigate corruption.

Research interests

Charles is interested in investigating entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial behaviour, practices, and activities in developing economic contexts. More specifically, his interests are in understanding the interplay between institutions, corruption and entrepreneurship.
