Profile

I am a doctoral researcher at Leeds University Business School. My academic journey began with a BSc in Management Information Systems from Jubail Industrial College in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, followed by an MSc in Information Management Systems Analysis and Design from the University of Reading.

Prior to beginning my doctoral studies, I worked as a Lecturer at Jubail Industrial College in the Department of Business Administration, where I taught courses including Intelligent Support Systems in Business, IT Project Management, and Business Principles and Practices.

Over the years, I have developed a strong interest in how digital technologies are reshaping the way people work, with particular focus to the tensions between managerial control and worker autonomy that emerge in hybrid and digitally mediated work.

Research interests

My research interests lie in the field of digital and hybrid work, with a particular emphasis on how organisations adapt to new ways of working enabled by digital technologies. I am particularly focused on the interplay between managerial control, employee autonomy, and organisational culture in digitally mediated work environments, and the broader implications for the future of work.
