Business School alumni social event in London
The Business School hosted their first alumni networking and social event in London this week since the end of covid lockdowns.
Around 30 alumni from both Leeds University Business School and the University of Leeds met to network and reminisce about their time at Leeds, over drinks and refreshments at the October Gallery, London.
Marc Steward, Careers Consultant at the University of Leeds, was on hand to encourage and develop everyone’s networking skills but it was noticeable how relaxed and natural the conversation was between the experienced professionals, who graduated some time ago, and more recent leavers and London placement students who also came along. One of the important aspects of networking is that it is genuine, open and respectful. This was in evidence all evening.
Marc Steward said,
I want to thank all of the alumni for attending on what was a grim night weather-wise. This included an alumnus who travelled up (and back!) from Southampton by coach, and another who had to travel to Leeds by train that night after the event. The demand for University of Leeds graduates to meet, catch up about their great experiences at Leeds, but also share information and tips about where they now live (what is the best restaurant in London in their opinion?), is greater than ever.
Our alumni can benefit from a wide range of events and valuable opportunities to meet with peers, stay connected and build contacts. As a graduate of Leeds University Business School, you’ll always be connected to the school and the friends you’ve made during your time here.
