Dean's Awards for Research Excellence: Winners and runners up 2022
The inaugural Dean's Awards for Research Excellence took place on Wednesday 27 April, celebrating the work of our fantastic research staff.
The Dean's Awards for Research Excellence are an opportunity to highlight research achievements at Leeds University Business School. The awards celebrate our outstanding research, promote projects and activities in recognition of excellence internally and externally, and reward the achievements and talents of individual members of staff at different stages in their careers.
The categories, runners up and winners include:
Best Journal Article or Book with High Impact Potential
This award is given to a Leeds University Business School academic whose published work has the potential to significantly shape the thinking and practice on a specific topic.
- Winners - Suman Seth (Economics) and Aristeidis Theotokis (Marketing)
- Highly commended - Sourindra Banerjee (Marketing)
Early Career Award
This award recognises staff with up to five years of academic or other research-related employment who demonstrate significant evidence of being a future research leader.
- Winner - Aulona Ulqinaku (Marketing)
- Highly commended - Felix Schulz (Digit)
Award for Scholarly Contribution
The award for Scholarly Contribution celebrates staff who have made a significant contribution to their respective field of research during the past three academic years, including building capability and capacity within their field and within the faculty through the quality of research output.
- Winner - Chia Huei Wu (The Workplace Behaviour Research Centre (WBRC))
- Highly commended - Gabriel Burdin (Economics)
Outstanding Research Leadership
This award honours the achievements of a Business School academic who has made a significant contribution to their respective field of research during the past three academic years, including promoting equality, diversity and inclusivity agendas within their field and within the faculty.
- Winner- Annina Kaltenbrunner (Economics)
- Highly commended- Kate Hardy (WERD)
