Mumbai dinner brings MBA alumni together

MBA alumni from Leeds University Business School recently gathered for an exclusive dinner in Mumbai, providing the opportunity to reconnect and reflect on their time at Leeds.
Dr. Richard Hodgett, MBA Director, who was in India to attend and host events, took the opportunity to personally engage with attendees, sharing updates on the latest developments at the Business School and the MBA programme
The evening was filled with lively conversations, ranging from professional journeys to shared memories of their time at Leeds. Alumni expressed their appreciation for the invaluable experiences they gained during their MBA, highlighting the lasting impact it has had on their professional careers.

Speaking about the event, Richard said: “It was an absolute pleasure to meet five distinguished MBA alumni in Mumbai this evening. Your stories and insights were truly inspirational. The evening was marked by engaging conversations, fond memories, and the formation of new friendships. Discussions ranged from professional journeys to nostalgic recollections of times in Leeds. The tales of playing cricket with a local Leeds team, the difficulties of lost luggage, driving through Scotland, the longing for home-cooked meals, and the gratitude towards the kind people who helped manoeuvre oversized luggage onto a train upon arriving in the UK were particularly memorable. I appreciated the recommendations for places to visit in Pune, my next destination. I was also intrigued to learn that India is the only country in the world to host both tigers and lions. As they say in my hometown, the craic was 90. I truly appreciate the warmth and hospitality you all extended, making this evening truly memorable”.
The Business School looks forward to hosting similar events in the future to strengthen our global alumni community, so keep checking our website for our latest events, news and updates and see how you can get involved.
