MBA alum’s global career journey inspires students
Leeds MBA alumni Puneet Jhawar met with MBA students and shared stories from his time in Leeds and impressive international career with them.
During a recent business trip to the UK, Puneet Jhawar (MBA 2008) called in to Leeds to see his favourite places on campus and relive old memories. The University holds a special place for Puneet as he met his wife whilst a student there, and is still in touch with many of his classmates.
As part of his visit, Puneet met with a group of our MBA students and shared stories from his time in Leeds and impressive international career with them. Puneet has worked across three continents and is currently Global Spark Ignited & Fuel Delivery System Business – Cummins, based in Indiana. As an MBA recruiter, he was able to pass on top tips which gave the students an insight into how to make a positive impression in the workplace and get the job they want.
During his talk, Puneet also covered the biggest business challenges and threats, such as engaging remote workers and establishing a business culture in a hybrid environment.
Puneet says
“It was such a pleasure to meet some of my old professors, the current students and faculty during my trip to Leeds. The Business School has some of the best staff. During the MBA they become your mentors, coaches, and friends who you can lean on for help.
I am fortunate to have meet a lot of my best friends (including my wife) here in Leeds, and the network that I made at the University has stood by me throughout my life. I am a big believer in education, it is the foundation of my success. I remain excited for the potential that the School has, and know it will keep bringing good leaders in the industry.”
Puneet spoke as part of our “Lunch with Alumni” series – if you are a graduate from the Business School and interested in sharing your career story with students, please get in touch with us on alumni@lubs.leeds.ac.uk
