Leeds Racial Inclusion and Sense of Belonging Round Table

This event will be facilitated by Dr Kendi Guantai and academics from the University of Leeds in collaboration with Leeds Discovery Centre.

This half-day event invites delegates to share experiences, thoughts, and ideas which will be pivotal in informing the design of a proposed inclusive community project.

The project titled ‘Abantu Moments of Inclusion and Sense of Belonging’ is guided by the African spirit of Ubuntu, an approach to life that emphasises social unity and generosity of spirit. The project will showcase inclusion and belonging as experienced by the Black and Caribbean communities in Leeds.

Kendi Guantai's work is intended to identify more meaningful and better-informed change and action required for inclusive and sustainable socio-economic growth in our region.
