Ideas in Practice Supply Chain Summit 2017

Strategy, Innovation and Performance: Helping the Northern Region

Registration for this event is now closed

The 2017 Supply Chain Summit is co-hosted by Leeds University Business School and Squire Patton Boggs.

The focus of the 2017 Summit is on the evolving nature of global supply chains and how businesses in Yorkshire and the northern region can ensure that they are well-placed to tackle future challenges and take advantage of opportunities. Key industry speakers will tell their stories and give their perspectives on issues around supply chain strategy, innovations such as block chain and management practices that lead to better performance.

Part of this picture is the alliances and collaborations between business and academia, and there will be an opportunity to get a quick overview of what expertise are present in the region with which businesses can engage. While we are proud of our regional strength in manufacturing and logistics, we need to keep in mind that businesses both large and small are part of global networks of supply of goods and services. The current highly volatile and competitive environment means that we need to be geared up for taking advantage of new opportunities, e.g. in emerging markets.

The focus is primarily non-sector specific however we expect to have speakers from the utilities, construction, food, fintech, engineering and automotive industries.
