Khusro Memorial Lecture 2018 - Repositioning Britain in a network world

James E Lynch India and South Asia are pleased to announce that the next Khusro Memorial Lecture will be delivered by the RT Hon Lord Howell of Guildford

The Late Professor AM Khusro (1925-2003) was an alumnus of the University of Leeds, where he earned his doctorate in Economics. Over the years of his professional career, he become a distinguished economist, a popular academic, and an effective policy maker in India. He was author of 22 books and a number of articles in national and international journals and newspapers.  The German government conferred upon him the "Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit".

The speaker is usually a person of eminence. In the previous years, lecture has been delivered by The Rt Hon Lord Marland of Odstock, Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, Professor C. Rangarajan, Former Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Dr YV Reddy, former Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, and Martin Wolf, CBE, Chief Economics Commentator at the Financial Times.
