Join us for an engaging and insightful alumni event in Guangzhou on Thursday 16 January 2025, as Professor Aristeidis Theotokis explores the powerful role of AI, brand activism, and cultural shifts in shaping today’s business landscape. The evening will offer a mix of thought-provoking discussions and valuable networking opportunities, designed to inspire new ideas and foster meaningful connections.
In this interactive session, Professor Aristeidis Theotokis, Professor of Marketing at Leeds University Business School, will share his latest research on the evolving nature of consumer engagement with companies. Today’s global consumers not only demand high-quality products and services, but also expect companies to take a clear stance on sociopolitical issues, known as brand activism. The rise of AI-driven products and services has further influenced how consumers interact with businesses, with responses varying across cultures. Professor Theotokis will explore these evolving dynamics and offer insights into how companies can navigate these trends to build stronger connections with audiences around the world.
The session will be followed by networking and refreshments, where you will have the opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni, share your memories of Leeds, exchange ideas, and explore potential collaborations and business opportunities in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. You will also have the chance to network with Tony Byng, Associate Professor of Marketing Practice and Yi Li from the Business School Alumni Team during the event.
