Advances in digital technologies create challenges for leaders in medical and biotechnology companies to explore exciting yet often complex and disruptive opportunities. Alongside digital innovations, such as AI diagnostics of medical images, surgical robotics with autonomous decision support, and predictive targeting and generative drug development, business model change and strategic transformation are required.

We will hear from acclaimed speakers from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), Roche, Google Health, Digital Surgery and the Leeds Academic Health Partnership, as well as Leeds University Business School academics, on developing radically new products and services and how alternative business models and regulation can support this rapidly growing industry.

The speaker presentations will be followed by a Q&A leading into a panel discussion. The discussions are expected to generate a broader understanding of the unique challenges facing medtech and biotech company managers when navigating the uncertainties and ambiguities of digital innovation.

Leadership for Digital Innovation in Medtech is aimed at industry representatives in medtech, biotech, pharma, medical supply retailers and retailers, as well as academic researchers with an interest in innovation and digital technologies.
