This is an alumni event taking place in Beijing on 9 January 2020
Due to popularity this event is now fully booked.
Dr Richard Hodgett, Associate Professor in Business Analytics and Decision Science, will be visiting Beijing in January 2020 and he would like to invite you to join him.
In this interactive session, Richard will discuss the new applications of analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence. He will then challenge alumni to explore:
- How do we encourage businesses (particularly small enterprises) to make the first steps to invest in analytics?
- We have heard about the various new applications of analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence. How can these technologies be applied in the companies you work for?
- Analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence can be used for automation, requiring fewer workers. What can be done about our growing global population and reduction in jobs?
The workshop will be followed by networking and refreshments. Guests will have the opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni in a relaxed environment.
There is no charge for this event but places are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis. This event is open to University of Leeds and Leeds University Business School alumni only.
