International study recognises high quality of faculty research

Scholars from the International Business Division feature in recent research that identifies leading academics in their fields.

Professors Peter Buckley, Tomas Hult, James Love, and Chris Pitelis are included in the list of top scientists in the category ‘business and management’ created by Stanford University experts. This is on the basis of standardised citation indicators such as information on citations, h-index, co-authorship, and a composite indicator.

Standardised citation indicators are an important measure of research impact and performance, and in turn one of the key performance indicators of academic institutions. The University as a whole and other divisions within the Business School are also recognised, which is a testament of their standing and contributions in their respective fields and in academia as a whole.

Professor Buckley, founder of the Centre for International Business, University of Leeds (CIBUL) commented:

“This excellent outcome reflected the global standing of IB research at Leeds and was testament to the outstanding research environment in Leeds University Business School. We warmly congratulate our divisional and other members for their contribution and achievement”.
