Joanna is a Chartered Certified Accountant.  She has spent 6 years in professional practice based in Leeds where she specialised in financial reporting and auditing.  Joanna then moved into industry leading the financial reporting and control functions in an insurance group and in a UK subsidiary of a NYSE listed medical research company.  Joanna started her role as Head of First Year in the Accounting & Finance division of Leeds University Business School (LUBS) since 2009, and has been module leaders and lecturers of a range of modules.  In addition, Joanna has supervised postgraduate dissertation students and undergraduate placement students.  Joanna is also the principal coordinator for accreditations with accountancy professional bodies (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA).
