Dr Hugh Cook interviewed on the UK public sector strikes
Dr Cook discusses ongoing industrial action on the DriveTime Show Podcast.
On 10 January 2023 Dr Hugh Cook, Associate Professor in Employment Relations and HRM, was invited to speak on the DriveTime Show Podcast episode "UK Strikes" and "Pay Gap" for the Voice of Islam DAB station to discuss the ongoing UK public sector industrial action and give an opinion on why the issues are taking so long to resolve between the Government and the unions.
Dr Cook commented on the reliability of costings around the bill to taxpayers of public sector pay rises, as well as on the proposed legal changes for minimum service levels during strikes and how the industrial action might be brought to an end.
