Profile

Shweta is a Post Graduate Researcher-PhD Candidate at Leeds University Business School. Her research is fully funded and supported by the Marketing Divisional Scholarship of the University of Leeds. She holds an MSc in International Marketing Management with Distinction from the University of Leeds, graduating top of her cohort. She previously earned an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a BSc (Honours) in Economics from Symbiosis School of Economics.

Shweta has extensive industry experience as a marketing professional with a strong focus on growth marketing, product strategy, and data-driven customer acquisition across Google, Nestle, Bira 91 and Unacadamy.

Research interests

Shweta has strong research interests in entrepreneurship and venture creation, with a particular focus on venture capital, and the marketing of new ventures, and growth-oriented go-to-market strategies. She is especially interested in how emerging ventures build legitimacy, acquire early customers, and scale through effective marketing and branding decisions.
