What advice would you give to anyone looking to work in a similar role or industry to you?
For all aspiring student entrepreneurs, my advice is to embrace your strengths- creativity, adaptability, and a passion for problem-solving. The entrepreneurial journey is dynamic, and your unique perspective is exactly what can help you innovate and succeed - Think Global, Start Local.
Start by focusing on your ability to learn and adapt. The world of entrepreneurship is constantly evolving, and staying informed about trends, new technologies, and market shifts is key. The more you understand the challenges and opportunities around you, the better positioned you’ll be to create solutions that resonate with consumers.
Networking and collaboration are also essential - Your network is your net-worth. Build relationships with mentors, peers, and industry professionals who can offer valuable insights and guidance. Surrounding yourself with a diverse group of people will allow you to learn from others, exchange ideas, and open doors to new opportunities. Collaboration is often the key to unlocking creativity and turning your vision into reality.
Stay resilient and don’t be afraid to fail. Entrepreneurship is filled with ups and downs, and it’s important to view every setback as a learning experience. Success doesn’t come overnight, but with persistence, the willingness to learn from mistakes, and a focus on your long-term vision, you’ll continue to grow and improve.
Taking risks, stepping out of your comfort zone, and challenging the norm are all part of the entrepreneurial journey. Without risk, there’s no chance for growth, innovation, or success.
Additionally, always keep your values at the forefront of your entrepreneurial journey. Whether it’s sustainability, inclusivity, or making a positive impact, having a clear purpose will guide your decisions and resonate with both customers and investors. A business built on strong values will not only thrive but also make a meaningful difference.
Finally, be bold and embrace your entrepreneurial spirit. Your ideas have the potential to change the world. Stay curious, stay focused, and remember that persistence, creativity, and the ability to adapt will be your greatest assets as you build your business.
How was the transition to living and studying in a different country? Did the university offer support or services that you found helpful? Can you offer any advice?
The transition to studying in the UK from India was both exciting and challenging, but the University offered great support to help ease the process. They provided orientation programs, international student services, and workshops that guided me through the academic and practical aspects of life in the UK. I also found that engaging with the diverse student community and participating in extracurricular activities helped me feel more connected.
My advice for anyone studying abroad is to fully utilise the support services available, be open to new experiences, and embrace the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds. It’s normal to face challenges, but with patience and curiosity, the transition will become easier and more rewarding.
