Alumni return to campus to reconnect and reminisce through LEGO Serious Play

The Business School recently hosted an innovative alumni event, From Bricks to Business: LEGO Serious Play, bringing together alumni for a creative and interactive experience.

The interactive session blended creativity, storytelling, and networking through LEGO Serious Play. Alumni were invited to construct models representing a cherished memory from their time at the Business School and then share the stories behind their creations with fellow attendees.

In addition to the LEGO Serious Play session, attendees had the opportunity to take a tour of HELIX, the University's cutting-edge learning innovation hub. This space serves as a collaborative environment where students, staff, and the local community can work together on entrepreneurial and creative projects driven by their own ideas and initiatives.

Sean Gledhill, Senior Learning Technologist, praised the event, saying, "facilitating LEGO Serious Play workshops is one of the most enjoyable aspects of my role, and the alumni event in Leeds was no different. The participants embraced the challenge wholeheartedly. It was wonderful to hear such a diverse group of people speak so positively about their time at the Business School—and through such brilliantly creative models."

The evening was a resounding success, with alumni thoroughly enjoying the chance to reconnect and share their stories. Many are already looking forward to attending future events in Leeds!
