Alumnus finalist in British Council Alumni Awards

A Leeds University Business School alumnus has been recognised for his lead role in innovation

Hattan Ahmed (MBA 2008) has been selected as a finalist for an Entrepreneurial Award at the Saudi Arabia British Council Study UK Alumni Awards 2021.

The alumni awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of alumni and showcase the impact and value of a UK higher education. The finalists were selected from around 1,300 applicants from around the world, for their outstanding achievements as business professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders, and for their important contribution to strengthening collaborative ties between the UK and Saudi Arabia.

Hattan is Head of the KAUST Entrepreneurship Center, a business incubator, which helps entrepreneurs at all stages of the start-up process, from inception to launch to funding and beyond. They offer training and mentorship to entrepreneurs, from scientists and students looking to spin out their inventions into new companies to Saudi business owners interested in adopting an entrepreneurial approach to business growth.

We wish Hattan the best of luck!
