Building connections with LEGO in London

The Business School recently hosted an innovative alumni event, From Bricks to Business: LEGO Serious Play, at the Science Gallery London.

Following the success of its debut in Leeds in September, the event was brought to London to provide another opportunity for creative storytelling and networking.

The interactive session invited attendees to explore their creativity through LEGO Serious Play. They were tasked with constructing models that represented a cherished memory from their time at the Business School. These models became the basis for storytelling, as attendees shared their stories behind their creations, fostering meaningful connections across generations of the Business School community.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Science Gallery London, which offered breathtaking views of The Shard, the event provided a memorable and inspiring environment for attendees to connect and collaborate.

Sean Gledhill, Senior Learning Technologist, shared his thoughts on the event’s success: “Following the amazing response in Leeds to our LEGO Serious Play workshop, it was great to bring the event to a new audience. Both alumni and placement students embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, and it was rewarding to hear their memories of the Business School, expressed so creatively through their LEGO models.”

It was fantastic to see both alumni and placement students in attendance, sharing their experiences and building connections. The Business School looks forward to hosting more events in London, providing more opportunities for engagement and collaboration in the future.
