On 26 January Professor Vera Trappmann was featured in an article published by the Süddeutsche Zeitung titled “So werden deutsche Jobs grün”, or “This is how German jobs become green”.

The article discusses the growing interest among German employees in transitioning to green industries. Many are motivated by the meaningfulness of working towards sustainability. However, there's a significant gap between the demand for green jobs and the skills required for them.

Professor Trappmann’s research is discussed and it notes that in the study mentioned it became clear that many people are afraid of climate change - but ultimately the high intrinsic motivation is exuding people's fears. She commented:

The Süddeutsche Zeitung, published in Munich, Bavaria, is one of the largest daily newspapers in Germany.
