Championing innovation at the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards
On 22 November, the Business School presented the Innovation Award to C-Capture at the Yorkshire Post Business Excellence Awards.
Now in their 18th year, the awards recognise and reward a cross section of businesses and the vital role that they play in the economic success of Yorkshire.
The Business School’s sponsorship of the accolade was underpinned by our culture and values that we share with the University – Collaboration, Compassion, Inclusivity and Integrity, and our focus on two goals for the future:
- Innovative solutions for society
- Building a community of responsible leaders
The award was presented by our Executive Dean, Professor Julia Bennell who was joined, on the night, by colleagues and members of our business community. She commented: “We were delighted to present the Innovation award to C-Capture whose technologies to capture CO2 emissions are making a positive impact on the climate and moving towards a greener future.
The depth and breadth of talent of all the nominees was inspirational and we congratulate them all. We look forward to supporting and championing regional businesses in the future.
