Around 50 members of the Leeds MBA community gathered at Headrow House in Leeds last Thursday evening for the inaugural Leeds MBA Student & Alumni Networking Event.
A diverse mix of current students and alumni from both the Full-time MBA and Executive MBA programmes came along, spanning graduating classes from 1999 to the present day. During the evening they took the opportunity to strengthen connections, expand their professional networks, and share experiences and memories across generations of Leeds MBA graduates.
The event really highlighted the value of the School's MBA network and demonstrated the strength of its local alumni community. The opportunity to learn from one another's journeys and perspectives was a key theme. Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, especially around the chance to reconnect with fellow graduates, build new professional relationships, and engage with the wider Leeds MBA community.
MBA student Karishma IV said: “The MBA Alumni Networking Evening was a fantastic opportunity to connect with our alumni learn about their inspiring career journeys and hear how the University of Leeds supported them in building successful ventures. I especially enjoyed learning about an alum’s AI innovation in the medical sector. It was inspiring to see their approach and entrepreneurial journey and I’d love to see more networking and entrepreneurship events like this in the future.”
Antony Dosio (MBA 1999) added: “Last week Thursday the Leeds MBA get together was truly a great event, please keep them going. Met some great people and really enjoyed the evening - fantastic conversations. Looking forward to the next one!”
The success of the event has reinforced the importance of creating opportunities for students and alumni to connect beyond the classroom. Plans are already underway to build on this momentum and offer further networking and community-building events during the next academic year.
A big thank you goes to everyone who attended and contributed to making the evening such a success.
