Masters students fly to Switzerland for international study tour
Our masters international study tour in July saw 70 students from across all postgraduate taught programmes attend an exciting week-long study programme in Switzerland.
Highlights of the tours included:
- A visit to Bitcoin Suisse headquarters
- A presentation from the Chief Economist at Credit Suisse
- A visit to the Operations Centre at Zurich Airport for a presentation with the SWISS Airlines Air Traffic Senior Manager
- A lecture on corporate social responsibility (CSR) with the Head of Centre for Corporate Responsibility at ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences.
Each programme was tailored to our academic divisions: Accounting and Finance, Economics, International Business, Management, Marketing and Work and Employment Relations. This allowed students to gain insights into industries around their area of study and professional backgrounds. In addition, another 27 students from the MBA and EMBA programmes attended a study programme at an executive level.
Feedback from the students has been very positive, with many stating that the experience has been incredibly beneficial for their learning. Others say that the tour has helped them to solidify dissertation topics and career paths. We are hoping to expand the study tour programme in the upcoming years so that more students can benefit from such an international learning experience.
