Tell us about your degree - why did you choose it?
I chose my degree because accounting is the base of all businesses.
What was the best part of your studies here? What did you enjoy the most about your course?
The campus is really accessible and really close to the city centre. Both peers and staff are really friendly and the community is sweet and close. The design of the modules is very helpful not only from an academic perspective but also in terms of career development.
What was your impression/experience of the student union, the city of Leeds and Yorkshire? Did you do any extracurricular activities during your studies? How did you enhance your personal development? What would you recommend to future students?
I participated in several societies in Leeds University Union, such as Salsa Society, Women in Leadership Society, and Investment Society. There is a great combination of academic societies and social societies which enables you to develop your personal interests and get to know people who have common interests and become friends.
How has your career progressed since leaving the Business School? Have there been any notable highlights?
I had enrolled in an industrial placement with HSBC and received a return offer for the graduate scheme. It was an amazing experience and I have come back as alumni to develop a session with Women in Leadership Society.
What are your ambitions for the future?
Leverage Finance and Origination.
What advice would you give to anyone looking to work in a similar role or industry to you?
Try out things and believe in yourself.
Would you recommend the Business School to others?
Yes highly recommended. The Business School has great staff and great peers with a beautiful campus. I am proud to be a Business School alumni.
