Profile

Clare is a PhD researcher at the University of Leeds focusing on gender equality. Her research explores parents’ decision-making in relation to parental leave, what parents value in terms of shared parenting and care during their child’s first year and how the UK’s shared parental leave policy influences, enables or hinders parents' aspirations and capabilities to share parenting during a child’s first year as they would like to.

Clare also works as a Senior Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Partner at the University of Aberdeen. She has worked in EDI-related roles within HE for the past 15 years. Previously, she worked at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, the University of East London and the University for the Creative Arts. Photo attached.
