World Subject Rankings 2023 place Leeds in top 100

The Times Higher Education (THE) has announced its World Subject Rankings 2023. For the subject of Business and Economics Leeds has placed 13th in the UK and in the top 100 globally.

The Times Higher Education (THE) creates university rankings to assess university performance on the global stage. Overall the University of Leeds was placed joint 128th globally. For the subject of Business and Economics Leeds placed 97th globally and 13th in the UK.

The rankings are based on an assessment of research-intensive universities across all their core missions: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.

For the 8th year in a row, the University of Leeds has seen an increase in its score for ‘international outlook’ with 91.8 out of 100. This score reflects the proportion of international students and staff, as well as international collaborations.

Professor Iain Clacher, Pro-Dean (International), believes this reflects the Business School and the University’s historical and ongoing commitment to collaborations with international partners around the world.

“Our international partnerships play a key role in enhancing our student experience and provide valuable opportunities for our academic staff to collaborate with leading scholars globally. We work hard to ensure our graduates embrace different perspectives and have real global and cultural insight that can be used when working as part of a diverse community.”

We offer international study tours, projects, and study programmes to give them first-hand experience of different countries and cultures.

“With over 200 academic staff from around the globe, we celebrate our diversity and benefit hugely from their international experience”.
