LUBS alum hosts Mumbai alumni event

In March, Leeds alumni came together in Mumbai for an evening of connection and conversation, hosted by alumni ambassador and LUBS Mumbai chapter leader, Dr Debashish Das (MBA, 2010).

The informal dinner took place at The Stables, a lively venue known for it’s vibrant atmosphere and live entertainment.

The evening brought together a diverse range of Leeds alumni, offering the opportunity for recent graduates and senior alumni to reconnect and share their journeys. Guests were delighted to welcome a local alum who graduated from Leeds in 1986. The group exchanged ideas on strengthening alumni engagement in Mumbai, with ideas shared for future events and activities to grow and energise the alumni community in the city.

Debashish also gave a warm welcome to Shweta Datt, Country Advisor for the University of Leeds, and Olivia Blythman, Alumni Relations Manager at Leeds University Business School. Both were delighted to meet alumni in Mumbai and explore ways to further alumni engagement in India.

Reflecting on the event, Debashish said: “Thank you to all who attended. It was superb meeting Olivia and the new faces from the University of Leeds. I’m looking forward to having more such events in the future to keep us connected.”

Olivia remarked, “Thank you to Debashish for organising such a lovely evening. It was a pleasure to make new connections and finally meet alumni I’ve known for many years in person.”
