IMDb Founder Col Needham returns to inspire University of Leeds students

The University of Leeds had the pleasure of welcoming back distinguished alumnus Col Needham, founder and CEO of IMDb, for an engaging talk with students.

A Computer Science graduate from Leeds, Col shared his remarkable journey from university student to leading one of the world’s most influential film databases. His talk provided fascinating insights into the evolution of the internet, data-driven marketing, and the power of analytics in business.

The event was a huge success, with students eagerly engaging in discussions and posing thoughtful questions. A highlight of the day was the awarding of a special Amazon prize, generously donated by Col, to student Thomas Smedley.
