LUBS alumnus in PR ‘40Under40’ Awards
We are pleased to share that Vignesh Shankar (MA Advertising and Marketing, 2014) has been recognised by BW Marketing World prestigious PR 40Under40 Awards.
The BW Marketing World PR 40Under40 Awards, in association with BW Businessworld, highlight the remarkable contributions of professionals in Public Relations and Corporate Communications, culminating in a gala ceremony held in New Delhi on 19th January 2024. The event marked a celebration of talent, innovation and influence in the dynamic realm of PR and Corporate Communications.
Vignesh Shankar is an accomplished communications & marketing professional with over 10 years in the automotive, FMCG, and entertainment sectors and is currently a Product Innovation Manager at Good Day, Britannia Industries Ltd. In June 2021, he was appointed as Britannia Industries’ first ever dedicated PR Manager. His first brand campaign #BringBackMilkBikisClassic with ‘The Hindu’ group went on to win at international publisher’s award functions like INMA, WAN Infra. From engaging brand campaigns to conducting D&I specific corporate narratives for BIL’s factories, he helped garner high impact stories that added to Britannia Industries’ reputation.
On receiving the award, Vignesh said, “I’m elated to be recognised in this elite list of PR & Corp Communication professionals. It simply wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my family, inspirational leaders at Britannia, my team mates across my professional pursuits and of course my diverse academic and cultural experiences at the University of Leeds, UK.
