Viktor Prokopenya appointed as a Visiting Professor of Practice in Innovation and Entrepreneurship
The University of Leeds and Leeds University Business School happy to announce that Viktor Prokopenya has been appointed as a Visiting Professor of Practice in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Viktor is a global investor and entrepreneur in the fintech industry. An influential voice on fintech legislation and best practices in Europe, Viktor has been a pioneer in the digital technology space for over two decades.
Despite humble beginnings, Viktor became a serial entrepreneur in his teens. He then went on to found capital.com, a company which operates a multi-award winning trading platform. It allows clients to trade across the world’s most popular indices, commodities, shares and currency pairs. Capital.com has more than seven million client accounts and trading volumes exceeded $1 trillion in 2022.
Viktor is a passionate advocate for fintech as a force for good, delivering financial democracy and accessibility that transcends borders. Viktor and his family have decided to live in Britain and base their business here. Through their charitable foundation, Viktor and his wife Nadya are increasingly engaged in children’s’ education; helping deprived families; and empowering young women.
