Tell us about your degree - why did you choose it? What elements of the degree inspired you to study it? 
I chose this MSc as I aspired to broaden my career in the global financial market and deepen my knowledge of financial industries and markets through the programme. 

What was the best part of your studies here? What did you enjoy the most about your course?  
The best part of my studies was gaining practical knowledge in finance. Learning to use Excel and STATA was particularly helpful for understanding corporate finance and financial theories. 

What was your experience of the student union, the city of Leeds and Yorkshire? Did you do any extracurricular activities during your studies? How did you enhance your personal development? What would you recommend to future students? 
I participated in the Leeds University Union Trading and Investment Society to connect with other students eager to work in the financial industry. The society's activities helped me broaden my network with fellow students and professionals working in the field of finance. 

How did your experiences at Leeds University Business School help you to advance your career? 
My experience at the Business School helped me take on challenges in global financial markets and motivated me to develop my career more broadly. The foundation of my knowledge was solidified through the lessons I learned at the Business School. 

How has your career progressed since leaving the Business School? Have there been any notable highlights? I had the opportunity to work at a branch of a global financial company, where I aim to develop my career as a Product/Client Service Specialist.

What are your ambitions for the future?
I aspire to become a skilled professional who can bridge international clients with the markets in my home country. 

What advice would you give to anyone looking to work in a similar role or industry to you?
I recommend staying focused on financial market trends by utilising various types of media. Keeping up with these trends is key to developing analytical skills and making informed decisions. 

How was the transition to living and studying in a different country? Did the university offer support or services that you found helpful?
Studying in a different country is challenging for everyone. However, the University supported me greatly, and I truly enjoyed both my studies and life in Leeds! 

What would you say is your defining memory of studying here? Would you recommend Leeds University Business School to others?
I definitely recommend Leeds University Business School to others. Studying here gave me the opportunity to open a new chapter in my professional career. 

What advice would you give to students to help them get the most out of their time in Leeds?
To make the most of your time in Leeds, it's important to be open-minded. Don't hesitate to try new experiences during your school life.
