Profile

I completed my PhD at Leeds University supervised by Professor Irena Grugulis and Dr Hugh Cook. My research focuses on knowledge transfer, communities of practice and the process of unlearning. I am a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and an accredited work-based mediator (MCIARB). I have an interest in informal dispute resolution for grievances at work. I work on a part-time (0.5FTE) basis. 

Research interests

My research has focused on front-line firefighters and how they share knowledge, unlearn and work together in communities of practice. I completed a Knowledge Transfer Partnership at Leeds University. This project considered the emotional labour of debt collectors and how they navigate emotion in the workplace.

Student education

I teach on the Management Consulting MSc programme and also the Learning and Development Mocdule. In addition, I supervise PGR dissertations and have two current PhD students.
