Dr Greenwood on BBC Radio 5 Live

On 31 May 2018, Associate Professor in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management, Dr Ian Greenwood appeared on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Dr Greenwood featured on the Drive programme to discuss the implications of the USA imposing trade tariffs on imported steel and aluminium from Canada, Mexico and the EU, and commented that:

“The implications are quite severe. The UK steel industry exports 7% of its total output to the USA... The saving grace for the UK is that the EU is a very powerful trade block. The EU was able to put substantial pressure onto the US government in 2002, and it will do the same thing now.”
