Melissa Schuessler, Senior Teaching Fellow for Professional Development hosted an interactive alumni workshop about developing intercultural competence in the workplace in London last month.
Melissa’s session looked at the role of culture and how it shapes the way employees interact at work. Using a competence based framework, she explored workplace culture through multiple lenses including international, organisational, by sector and by function.
The event was held at the iconic Shakespeare’s Globe with beautiful views onto the Thames and London. Over 35 Business School and University of Leeds alumni enjoyed the workshop, followed by networking and refreshments.
