Profile
Lijun Zhang is a postgraduate researcher at the University of Leeds Business School (LUBS), studying for a PhD in Management and Organisational Behaviour. He holds a BSc. in Psychology and an MA in Music Psychology. He is currently working as a research assistant on a Barnardo's funded research project. He has also worked as a Human Resources Assistant at China Aviation Oil Corporation and is currently a part-time teacher at a local Chinese school in Leeds and a volunteer at The Business Confucius Institute at the University of Leeds.
Research interests
Lijun Zhang's research investigates the transformative role of music in organisational and educational contexts, focusing on its impact on employee well-being and workplace dynamics. He also explores the effects of AI-generated music on attention, mood, and behaviour, and examines how perceptions of AI compositions differ from those of traditional music, contributing to a nuanced understanding of music's evolving influence in professional and technological settings.
