Jiaoyue Su is a Lecturer in International Business at the University of Leeds, Department of International Business. She graduated with a PhD from the University of Nottingham, where she specialized in Strategy and International Business with sponsorship from Nottingham University Business School. 

Jiaoyue has published in journals such as Journal of Business Research and has presented at leading academic conferences such as the British Academy of Management. She was also awarded the Best Reviewer Award at the Academy of Management 2024 conference.

Jiaoyue enjoys collaborating on research projects and values teamwork. She is passionate about creating a collaborative learning environment that encourages students to critically engage with the challenges and opportunities in global business.

Research interests

Managerial Behaviour and Corporate Strategy – Examining how managers’ backgrounds, experiences, and decision-making processes shape corporate strategy and firm performance.

R&D and Innovation in Emerging Markets – Investigating how firms in developing economies engage in innovation, adapt to technological change, and leverage R&D investments.

Religiosity and International Business – Exploring how religious beliefs influence foreign direct investment (FDI) and cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&As).

Internationalization and Innovation – Understanding how firms expand across borders and adapt their innovation strategies to different institutional and competitive environments.
