Profile

Dr Amrita Manohar is a Lecturer in International Business. With a PhD in Business and Management, Amrita’s current research focuses on international entrepreneurship and emerging economies. As the Programme Director, she oversees the three undergraduate degree programmes offered by the International Business department. She also serves as the Deputy Director for the JEL-India and South Asia Business Centre, an institute that focuses on interdisciplinary research in the South Asian context.

Before starting her academic career, Amrita worked in project management and engineering roles in India.

Research interests

Amrita’s research interests are broadly within international entrepreneurship. Her current work focuses on born global firms and internationalizing SMEs, exploring how they utilize formal and informal network ties to grow in the context of national institutions in emerging economies.
