Award for Success for Prof. Dimitrios Georgakakis and Laura Pearson

Prof. Dimitrios Georgakakis and Laura Pearson have both won the Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence for their work in student education 2023/4!

Prof. Mohammad Faisal Ahammad, The Head of the International Business Department (interim), praised Dimitrios and Laura on their excellent teaching work. He said that Dimitrios’s work on the International Buisness module was particlarly impressive: 

“The combination of the use of short cases and simulations, supported by timely and detailed feedback for your students, shows your dedication to an excellent student experience which I know is appreciated by them. I hope this award demonstrates our appreciation for the fantastic work you do to teach and develop our students and motivates you to continue your excellent practice.”

Prof. Mohammad Faisal Ahammad congratulated Laura on her award saying “The use of Lego Serious Play, along with Harvard simulations, shows your passion and dedication to creating a truly innovative and engaging learning experience for our students. The feedback from students shows that they recognise and appreciate this.”
