Giuseppe Fontana receives Ludwig Mai Service Award
On Thursday 3 January 2019 at an Association for Social Economics reception in Atlanta (USA), Professor Giuseppe Fontana, received the Ludwig Mai Service Award.
Since 1983 the Ludwig Mai Service Award has been presented periodically to a person who has given exceptional service to the Association for Social Economics. Professor Fontana is the recipient of the 2018 award, for his service to the Association.
Giuseppe Fontana is Professor of Monetary Economics at Leeds University Business School, Associate Member at the Cambridge Centre for Economic and Public Policy (CCEPP, University of Cambridge), Life Member Fellow at Clare Hall (University of Cambridge), Associate Professor at the University of Sannio (Italy), and Research Associate at the Levy Economics Institute (USA). He was member of the co-ordinating team/executive board and work-package leader of the €8 million EU FP7 research project FESSUD. In 2011-2014 Giuseppe was a board director member of the Eastern Economic Association (USA). In 2015, he was elected President of the Association for Social Economics.
