Yao is a postgraduate researcher at Leeds University Business School. She has an interdisciplinary background, with an MSc in Business Analytics and Decision Sciences and an MA in Social Research (Interdisciplinary) from the University of Leeds, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Yao’s research explores the potential of digital footprints to measure life quality. She seeks to develop innovative approaches to understanding life quality through big data, contributing to both academic research and policy-making.
