CDR at EMS 2024 in Barcelona
Centre for Decision Research had three talks at the 2024 EMS (Meteorological Societies in Europe) Annual Meeting in Barcelona.
Jack Thompson presented the results of a multi-level analysis of public risk perceptions of climate and weather, based on the Lloyds Register Foundation World Risk Poll and Sarah Jenkins presented work on public perceptions and behaviour in response to weather warnings in the UK. Andrea Taylor gave a talk on experimental work to inform the debate on whether heat events should be named, and whether threatening or mythological names should be used.
