Dr Ziko Konwar hosts alumni events in India
Assistant Professor of International Business visits Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai in return to in-person alumni events for LUBS graduates.
Dr Ziko Konwar presented workshops on ‘A CEO’s total pay: What does it mean for global innovation strategy?’, where he explored the trade-offs in developing company’s innovation portfolio globally, as well as the effects of cultural and top-management diversity, taking long-term CEO remuneration into account. He shared research on CEOs in the global pharmaceutical and biotech sector, including some of the key firm-level and managerial implications that are presented in this latest study.
The India alumni event tour, which included events in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai, was also an opportunity for alumni to meet up again in a relaxed environment, connect with fellow graduates and find out the latest news from the Business School. At the Delhi event our graduates were joined by prospective students, who were able to find out more about the Leeds experience first-hand from our alumni. The events were also an opportunity for our alumni to connect with the alumni groups in their area. Ziko said,
I've really enjoyed the events over the past few days, and it’s been wonderful to see our alumni doing so well. I’m really impressed by the quality of discussions, the ambitious ideas and new ventures (particularly with recent alumni) and look forward to deepening these valuable connections through a sustainable and long-term engagement with LUBS and the University.
